Hair Fair 2013 Bandana Day!!

Bandana Day July 28th

The last day of Hair Fair is drawing near, and with that comes Bandana Day. The day we remove our hair to show we care, and wear the bandanas we have purchased at Hair Fair. There are bandana booths on all four sims, and each purchase of 50L is donated to Wigs for Kids. The community of Second Life all come together each year and create these lovely bandanas , and there are so many really beautiful ones this year. All created around the wonderful mesh bandana that Mel Vanbeeck created for us.
As tradition goes, people remove their hair and wear them on that day, people blog wearing them, do pics for flickr, and just spend time in Sl wearing them, some even host big events and parties where people are only allowed to wear them. It is a great and fun way to end Hair Fair for another year and I hope you join in on the occasion.

Hi my readers! So warning I did do this picture up. Because I was bored and inspired to make something pretty. But as you all know I am picky in what I wear so the quality is good, or it wouldnt show up on my blog. Yea.  So this is an urbany look which is something I am not often. But I was really loving how this came together.

Out at the Boobie Show you can get this shirt. I will warn you now, you will have to know how to adjust your lolas (or other brand). Because I am litterally picky on how it looks, I had to do adjusting but the sayings are way to funny to not get it! I am showing off one of the saying, Dont Date Him Girl. com hahaha. Believe me I wish I could tell people this! 

On that Apple May has out these great pants not just for her but him too!! They are on sale I believe in her store for a low price and will be going back up to a normal price soon. So dont wait go get them. I am digging on the texture of these pants, they look so realistic..

HAIR FAIR hair again!! I know right, I went crazy and this is from Argrace, a ball cap that is customizable. Hat color, brim color, and you can chose your letter too! I havent had hair from this store in years and when I come looking at the fair booth I was in shock and awe! This is awesome hair for me.    For those of you who need a little info. Hair Fair is an event for WIGS FOR KIDS. to help raise money for kidlets that need wigs for various reasons. It doesnt hurt to go check it out and donate or buy hair, cause designers are giving money to charity per hair bought. So really check it out.

Well hello everyone!  Today, was a bit of a lazy day for me. But I wanted to do a post, and I am hoping you all did the Fifty Linden Friday this week and got this amazing Bikini at DCNY because, I am in loooove with it.  So, you want to know why I am in love with this bikini? One, I am wearing the medium curvy with no alpha, which I love items where there are no alpha options (There is a alpha in the box mind you) But sometimes they dont fit my av just right. And pieces of me are invisible and it looks odd and I am like picky when I look like that.  So Medium curvy cause I got curves on my body and it fits perfectly, I was so happy. It fits right, it looks good and its not to big or to small and I didnt have to adjust my size or anything!!! So yea, I had to rave about this one, on that it covers the butt. NOT that I dont mind my bootay showing at times, but its nice to have a "modest" bikini and that is this!! Plus the texture is like whoa amazing! So def worth the 50L I spent and I am hoping when I go back to find it in more colors!!

Ok are you tired of the Hair Fair yet?!? NO good cause I got another hair for you!!! This is made by Pr!tty.  Omg last year I got a hairs from this designer and was totally in love with them. This year is no different. AND IT HAS CAT EARS .. well sorta, the band thing is cat ears. Now warning she doesnt have a store right now, you need to get this hair at the HAIR FAIR. Though in her profile it does state she will be making a come back so EXCITED there on that! **Designer note** come back faster ... yea! kidding, take your time, thought I think you will make it awesome in the hair world!

For those that dont know WIGS FOR KIDS is what this event is sponsoring so make sure you are going and giving your L for a good cause. There are children out there that need to keep their heads warm and feel good about themselves while they are going through a rough time. And while 250L a hair doesnt seem like much it does go along way! I can prove it. 
Lets say 6 million people in the world play SL  lets say 500,000 of them buy hair at the hair fair.  That is 125000000L  That turned into dollars is alot of dollars, that could be hair for at least 5 kids I am assuming here dont hold my math to me. But that is 5 less kids in the world that dont need to feel odd for how they are right now.  See makes you feel like a good person to be in such a good cause right? Good... Now go to the HAIR FAIR!

What? Picture first? Woot ... haha I thought I would change this up a little. Today I am showing off the new outfit you can get at .. The Boobies Show .. from Cynful.  This top looks better in my opinion if you use your boobs, it does have the option to not be worn that way. But in a review like opinion use your boobs.  It comes in many colors to chose from.  Also my skirt, is being sold with it, as well in many colors and very short (panties should be worn). It as well has a hud that allows you to change the belt and stud color.

Have you been to the HAIR FAIR yet? Well you should, its a great way to see a lot of top designers all on a couple of sims on one event. Not only that you will be supporting a good cause. Wigs for Kids, making sure all lils are covered in hair so they walk around feeling confident.  Make sure to check it out, believe me every little bit counts.  Make sure if you join the group you are joining the offical group and not the scam one that is going around HAIR FAIR GROUP IS FREE TO JOIN do not pay money to join any other group or you will be losing your money.

Intriguing Questions Meme

Heey Everyone, its Monday and you know what that means. Strawberry Singh has placed out a new meme for us. Now she has been giving us some hard ones, and this one is suppose to be easy. We shall see about that hmm.  This weeks meme is Intriguing Questions.

1. How do you deal with criticism? Well, It depends on the situation. I like positive criticism, specially when it comes to my pictures. I always like to improve on things, and that includes my blog. I am not one to get REALLY offended unless you are seriously trying to tear me down. If you have nice things to say to go with it, then I am more likely to listen and take note. For those that like to bash and tear down, odds are I am going to get defensive and strike back. 
2. What’s the most infuriating thing other SL residents do? There are a few things people do get me all RAWR.  - Getting in my way when I am taking a picture and push me around cause they are trolls.  - People that keep trying to push their point when clearly it is not wanted.  - Rude people tend to make me RAWR most, I am normally a nice person, I will listen and comment if I feel like drama wont come about but sometimes its just better to keep your mouth shut lol. 
3. Which SL resident would you most like to have lunch with and why? Can I just take a bunch of people to lunch? I mean that is a long list of people that I want to pick their brains.  But uhm ... hmm .. I guess If I HAD to chose ... I would go with Λric (vlad.sharktooth)  As to why, he does amazing pictures (totally draws amazing hair). But because he has been on my inworlds friends list for a long time now and ... we never really sat down and just talked. He has always captured my interest from previous conversations ..
4. Who would you say is your “anti” role model? Someone who serves as a warning rather than an inspiration? I have people on that list. For purposes to not cause hella drama. Lets just say there are some. They are on that list because they have done something that doesn't sit well with me. Normally I am not the kinda person to just put another on that list .. but it happens. 
5. What was something you used to enjoy, but was ruined for you?  I am not sure what to put here. I mean I guess there really isn't anything that sticks out.
6. What’s something you want to do that you’d be embarrassed to tell other people about? Having sex in public?  Oh wait ... never mind. To be honest, there isn't anything I am embarrassed to tell someone. The good thing about SL is sometimes you can just say something and it is what it is. The confidence level is amazing here, you don't have to feel like OMG I am an idiot for saying that. Though sometimes I guess there are those moments haha. 
7. What’s the oddest term of endearment you’ve ever used or that someone’s used for you? Snowflake .. which I didn't understand till later. Apparently to black men that is what they call their white girlfriends? I thought it was cute and yet odd.  Though that has long since ended. 
8. Have you ever fallen in love with another SL resident? Yes, this is a place where your heart can be most vulnerable. You are putting your trust into the hands of another and hoping they don't break it.  
9. Describe a time/event in your slife that you’re nostalgic for. When I would leave my platform and felt good about going out and meeting people.  Being Social outside of networks.  When past mistakes weren't made and people didn't look at you odd for your choices. 
10. What’s something sweet you’d like someone to do for you? Take me out. I know that sounds easy enough. But I would love a really good date, laughing, fun, dancing, and coming home late.  No pressures just easy going fun.

Hiii everyone. So its been a long day  I am sure for the hair fair people and designers and all you shoppers. But for those of you havent gone yet because you are waiting for the calm to come. Hair Fair 2013 - AUX

Hiiiiii Everyone. So guess what, I was lucky to be chosen to be one of the 100 bloggers allowed into the Hair Fair for an exclusive access. I am overly excited but I got to participate in the last one , and since then designers have grown and mesh is out now! The designs are amazing, and some are crazy and some are WTF were they thinking but hey the point of this is that we are doing this for a good cause.

Good Cause you might ask? YES a good cause. Because each designer is generously donating part of the proceeds to WIGS FOR KIDS! This is an amazing program to as the title says, get wigs for kids, any child that is suffering at which they can lose their hair. This program will provide them with hair so they do not have to feel awkward walking around with no hair.

I was proud to spend the amount of money I did at this. Because not only does it feed my addiction. It gives money to a charity. This is something I stand behind. And even though 250L (average hair price) is like 1$ in the real world. It still something. And every little bit helps.

The HAIR FAIR starts tomorrow peeps. So make sure you keep your lag low. There is a free outfit at the landing point that will cut all lag out. And even though I had early access, I still shopped bald and no HUD and my ugly ass normal feet (oh the horror) now if someone as vain as me can do that so can you!

So my first post is gonna showcase Auxiliary. By the amazing creators Tyr Rozenblum and Ivy Graves. Both these woman deserve props and recognition because these hairs are fabulous.  Now while I have been lately doing up my pics all fancy and stuff, I wanted to showcase a little normal so I didn't do much to the hair. So you know what you are getting. And there are demos at the store!  Not only that they have free clothes in their booth too!!!

1. This years theme is “Movies Inspire Me” be as creative as you like, feel free to include other people in your shots.
However, as in previous years, ONLY THE PERSON ENTERING THE PHOTOGRAPH IS ELIGIBLE TO WIN. This years contest will run from the 7th June – 28th June 2013

Examples : Sci-fi, Black & White, Romantic Comedy, Anime, Horror, Country & Western, Thriller, Action, Drama

*No Nudity or sexualy suggestive images, this is a charity event to raise money for Children, naked/revealing pictures and pictures that the committee deem inappropriate will not be accepted, the committee’s say on this is final.

Be creative, but remember we are looking for pictures that focus on the hair and you. PHOTOS SUBMITTED TO THIS POOL MUST HAVE BEEN UPLOADED SINCE THE START OF THE CONTEST, PHOTOS OLDER THAN THE START WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED, we want fresh focus and definite passion for this event, and this event only.

2. Feel free to enhance your shot in the photo editing program of choice. We don’t want to see vendor images here or store logos in the background for example. Just remember this isn’t an advertisement but a tribute to hair that you love.Also be aware that we wont be judging your photos on how little or much you know of PS or GIMP, rather the feel of the picture and the capture itself.That being said, please do not “over process”, we want to be able see the hair! – if you must put your name on your images please be sure to make it small and discreet in the bottom left or right of the photo…anything business focussed will not be accepted, names of avatar only.

3. Keep your photos in Second Life size format. Second Life will distort your images when uploaded into SL, and we do not want to have your images look all out of focus in the winners circle if picked.

4. Photos may only be entered once, and only the person entering the photo is eligible to win. The same photo may not be entered by more than one person. You must have full ownership rights to the photo you are entering. If it was taken by someone else, then you must be allowed to use it in this manner. Check with the photographer before entering because any disputes of ownership of a photo will result in disqualification.

5. Entrants are limited to a total of 8 entries. Enter only your very best photos, as swapping out will not be allowed. We will be keeping track of who enters what, and swapping out your photos after submission will result in your disqualification. We want to make it fair to everyone.

6. In the description of each photo you enter, please include:
* Your Second Life avatar name ( no display names, if your last name is Resident please include that )
* Model/s
* Photographer
* Hair Style Name and Store ( the store does not have to be in Hair Fair 2013 )
* Inspiration Movie ?

7. All photos must be entered by Midnight SLT on 28th June, at that time uploads will be disabled.

8. Winners will be announced just prior to the start of Hair Fair with all winners receiving a special VIP invitation to Hair Fair before it opens its doors to the public.
Winning photos will also be featured at Hair Fair.
First, Second and Third Prize winners will receive prizes from all stores listed, this is a HUGE prize pool.
Seven runners up will also be given early access to Hair Fair 2013, as well as having their photos on display at the event.

You may also showcase past designers who have left Second Life, designers just starting out, or even hair you or a friend made.

All photos will be moderated before being approved into the group pool, please be patient as we are all on different timezones, but the pool will be checked daily. If your photo does not appear after 24 hours, please check that all the rules have been followed..thank you

The judges decisions are final

Prizes cannot be exchanged, negotiated or sent to avatars other than the winners.
